The next generation of software for portable noise analysis. Easy to carry, easy to use!

noiseLAB 3.0 is a major upgrade of noiseLAB with a broad range of new, powerful features.

  • Automatic Tone Analysis to ISO 1996-2.
Support of more hardware: Now you can import .wav files from Sound Level Meters (such as the Brüel & Kjær 2250 and Svantek 959) and hard disk recorders.
  • Time Saving Batch Processing: Make any or all analysis Types on as many sound files as you want (limited only by computer memory size).
  • Powerful Train Analysis: Automatically break a sound file into "train cars" of user-defined length.
  • Takt max measurements
  • Infra-sound A and G weighted computations.
  • User-defined integration time for Sound Level: Enables evaluation of reverberation time.
  • Graphic and tabular output for ease of integration with reports.

NOR-MONIT
NOR-1006 Software.

The flexible approach to permanent noise monitoring installations that uses standard hardware to minimize obsolescence.

  • Automatic measurement, storage, and post processing of both noise and weather data.
  • Controls remote monitoring stations based on the NOR-110 or the NOR-116, complete with their weather-protected measurement microphones.
  • System can be extended to 100 outstations.
  • System connection can be via modems or landlines, or direct to a laptop computer.
  • Automatic calibration of the remote stations using electrostatic actuator or phantom calibration systems.

NOR-POW
NOR-1010 Software for the calculation of sound power levels. Implements the procedure set out in the international, European and national standards for the determination of sound power from sound pressure levels.

  • Covers the free-field, semi-reverberant, and reverberant methods set out in the standards to precision, engineering, and survey grades of accuracy.
  • The standards included are ISO 3741, 3742, 3744, 3745, and 3746 along with their European and national equivalents.
  • Input data may be direct from the NOR-110, -830, or -840 analyzers, from data files or can be keyed manually.
  • Measurement points can be in any order. Real-time averaging and calculation of the results.
  • Results are available in octave and third-octave bands with user selected frequency ranges.

NOR-SIC
NOR-1005 Software for sound insulation calculation. The universal package for building acoustics.

  • Allows quantification of stuctures acoustic performance according to a wide range of international, European and national standards, i.e., ISO 717, EN 20717, BS 5821, SIA 181, etc.
  • Input data can be taken direct from the NOR-110, 823, 830, or 840 Analyzers taken from data files, or input by hand.

CTRL-SIC
Optional control module for use in conjunction with the NOR-SIC package to automate building acoustic measurements.

  • Couples to the NOR-110, 121, and 840 analyzers for full control the of measurement procedure.
  • The user defines the measurement requirements; then the associated instrument is set up and the complete procedure is controlled by simple mouse clicks.
  • On-line display of the measured spectra and reverberation time data.
  • Automatically transfers the measurement results to the NOR-SIC program to calculate the rating parameters, thus allowing the two programs to be fully integrated.

NOR-LOUD
NOR-1011 Software for the calculation of loudness and loudness level as per the ISO standard.

  • Follows the procedure standardized in ISO 532 (BS 4198).
  • Input data can be taken from files generated by the NOR-110 or 840. Alternatively, data can be input manually.
  • Results given as loudness in sones and loudness level in phons.
  • Graphic presentation of results as a third-octave loudness spectrum.

NOR-RAC
NOR-1012 Software for the determination of the subjective acceptability of the acoustic environment in buildings as defined in ISO 3382 (BS 5363).

  • Post-processes the MLS impulse responses produced by the NOR-840 real time analyzer.
  • Can be installed directly in the Analyzer or on an external PC.
  • Calculation of clarity indexes C50 and C80, as well as the centre time index.
  • Calculation of lateral energy fraction when used in conjunction with a cardioid microphone system. The Microtech UMT70S is a suitable type which, when equipped with its associated preamplifiers and cables, is suitable for direct connection to the NOR-840.

NOR-STAT
NOR-1013 Post Processing Software for the multispectrum files produced by the NOR-840.

  • Can be installed directly in the Analyzer or on an external PC.
  • Allows power and percentile spectra to be calculated for any time segment of the complete measurement file.
  • Freely selectable level, frequency, and time axes for the displays.
  • Zoom function.

NOR-9614
NOR-1014 Software for the control of sound intensity measurements and the calculation of sound power levels following the procedure set out in International Standard ISO 9614.

  • Implements both parts of the standard, allowing both discrete points and scanning methods to be used.
  • Guides the user through all the complexities of the standard with real-time calculation of all field indicators and criteria.
  • Graphic representations of the measurement surface with exact measurement coordinates, to ensure correct placement of the probe.
  • On-line error messages to identify any measurements that do not conform to the requirements of the standard.
  • Simultaneous display of sound intensity and sound pressure levels for each measurement.
  • Sound intensity map and summary displays showing averaged results for each side of the surface, where appropriate.
  • Complete measurement report in the format suggested in the standard.

IBANA-Calc

The new IBANA-Calc software calculates indoor sound levels from outdoor aircraft noise for user created
building envelope designs. The user can view comparisons of designs on the screen, in printed reports
or listen to simulated indoor aircraft noise.

IBANA-Calc is one of the products of the
IBANA project: Insulating Buildings Against
Noise from Aircraft by the Institute for
Research in Construction at the
National Research Council of Canada.
