  • Newly published ANSI S12.5-2006/ISO 6926:1999 "American National Standard Acoustics - Requirements for the Performance and Calibration of Reference Sound Sources Used for the Determination of Sound Power Levels."
    This is a nationally adopted international standard which replaces S12.5-1990 "American National Standard Requirements for the Performance and Calibration of Reference Sound Sources."
  • Canada will adopt ISO 9613-2 as national standard
  • A revison of ANSI S12.2 criteria for room noise is being reballottid
